No, she replied,
Yes, she said,
No, he sighed,
Yes, he said,
No, she persisted,
Yes, she said,
No, he insisted,
Yes, he said,
No, she declared,
Yes, she said,
No, he dared,
Yes, he said,
No, she ventured,
Yes, she said,
No, he whispered,
Sigh, said he,
Sigh, she responded,
They turned to face each other
Slowly
Their eyes filled with longing.
He reached out his hand,
She put her hand in his,
Yes, they said together,
Let the games begin.
